Sweet Crisis is a modern rock band with a sound that defies easy categorization. Drawing on a diverse range of influences, from Free and Marvin Gaye to Gary Clark Jr and The Black Keys, they have created a unique musical style that blends classic 70's sounds with contemporary innovation. Their debut album, Tricks On My Mind, was released in August 2021 to rave reviews. Produced at Headline Music Studios in Cambridge and mastered at Abbey Road Studios, the album showcases the band's ability to infuse their music with just the right amount of funk, soul, and pop.
Since the album's release, Sweet Crisis has been touring extensively throughout the UK, supporting major artists such as Skunk Anansie, FM, and Laurence Jones. They have also embarked on their own headline UK tour, which has been met with great success. The band is currently working on their second album, and they have already announced plans to release new singles in early 2023.
